I just wanted to know, what is hell? We were talking about it in World History today and my teacher said that it is just simply being away from God... the whole "torture, fire, evil" idea isn't real. He said that there isn't one verse in the Bible explaining Hell. I always thought of it as darkness and also as being away from God, but I have also heard that there is torture/labour, basically I have heard that it isn't pleasant at all.
